Looks like Peter McKay is throwing his hat in for Conservative leadership. Part of me is concerned that if he wins he’ll present a more palatable version of the brand than Andrew Scheer ever did.

I think I understand your point, that NDP doesn't usually pull in a lot of votes, but they'll never be viable if people are too scared to vote for them in the first place.

Yeah, and I don’t think Jagmeet Singh is the leader we need to have a Bernie/Corbyn moment in Canada.

Yeah, and I don’t think Jagmeet Singh is the leader we need to have a Bernie/Corbyn moment in Canada.

I wish Singh had stronger policy on tax evasion and wealth taxes, and him being one of 2 NDP MPs not signing the petition to stop the illegal Israeli annexation of the West Bank is disappointing to say the least.

That being said, I am very grateful for the pressure he put on Trudeau to implement a more inclusive and expansive emergency benefit program, mortgage deferrals, student aid, 10 day paid sick leave, as well as his continued pressure to get aid to Canadians with disabilities, seniors, and indigenous communities among many other things.

The NDP have been slowly moving more and more to the right, they really need to get back to their CCF roots.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says his government's stay-at-home order that comes into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday is clear, but many Ontarians would disagree. The announcement left many people looking for clarification as to what they were and were not still permitted to do, and how the rules will be enforced.
