Yeah I'm sure she performed it on CD:UK but a few acts did album tracks on there too, so it could have just been for that reason.

I found a promo CDR and some chatter on UKMix about it being the fourth single so I guess there was a real chance it would've been

I can see both why they were possibly planning it and why they decided not to. It was a classic Geri ballad (ish) like Lift me up and would have appealed to those put off by the other singles (i.e.me) but at the same time that was likely why they didn't as I guess she wanted to move on her sound.

I think the choices of Scream and Calling had already derailed the campaign and after both of them not reaching top 5, I imagine they just thought to leave it. Supposedly Geri was gutted Calling didn't reach #1 as she was convinced it would.

It was an almost-double-A-side later on with One Heart, and featued in an ad. Neither track seemed to pick up much media support IIRC.

I read something somewhere at the time that Circles Round the Moon was planned to be on the soundtrack for the first Harry Potter film. Obviously they didn't go down the route of having a big popstar single for that franchise in the end but interesting rumour if it was true.
