All this time, I thought that intelligence line was about one of her cats
Okay but these last two snippets sound absolutely divine.
TOO MUCH is a cute girl.
If you’re looking for an actual train wreck then go to the ME! thread.
I won't listen to them now, as we're less than 24h away from the album. I'm so excited. Miss Jepsen scalp what's left of my hair.
ookie dookie someone has a great taste:
carly rae jepsen on the music that made her
Carly-oke: Carly Rae Jepsen on love, Broadway, and Dedicated
This is good but also if I have to read Carly mention "growing up in two different houses" in another interview....
This is why the whole "it's not personal enough! We don't know who she is!" take from Pitchfork on Emotion was such bull; her personal narrative is far less interesting than her music. And it shouldn't have to be in order to listen to or critique the music.
to be honest, my take on her, back in 2015, was pretty much the same (not anymore). but i agree that carly's personal narrative is mostly irrelevant to how i consume her art.
I’ll Be Your Girl slaps
Did someone say WARM DISCO?
The album bops at just the right amount and backs off when it needs to.
So far Everything He Needs is the only song I don't instantly like from the new songs. So far so good!
Automatically In Love is that bitch. This is so groovy. This bangs harder than any man I've ever fucked.
HJKDFKDJF!!!!! i can't wait to get home and listen
Automatically In Love is my favourite so far.
Is that from the hype sticker?
it's kind of song that i go "meh" at the beginning but then absolutely fall in love after a year or so, like "All That" or "Favourite Colour"
Automatically In Love -> Party For One is such an amazing run of tracks.
I think Real Love & For Sure are my faves.
Just gave the full album a listen. Can confirm that the only songs I'm not on board with are Now That I Found You & Everything He Needs. Neither are bad, but they're not grasping.
I'll Be Your Girl, The Sound, Automatically In Love & Real Love are my favourites on very first listen. Real Love feels like Now That I Found You but done right.
Real Love is the real album closer, and works so well as that. Whew.
