FINALLY listened to this in full today now I have the time to catch up with new music. I resisted most of the songs (apart from Kamikaze and Physcadelic Switch after I heard them in IG reels and couldn't resist) so I could have a proper moment with the record on my turntable on first play as is my new Carly tradition. And I am shook at just how experimental this is? Kollage is an excellent sequel to Summer Love, like the comedown after that rush, Shadow is so cute but damn heartbreaking at the same time and gives me UK Garage vibes? So does After Last Night? So Right is like Sideways on 2CB. Put It To Rest is unlike pretty much anything I've ever heard before but it's lush?? Of course Physcadelic Switch is one of her very best and Kamikaze BANGS.
This is all so exciting thinking about where she might go next. There's so much new ground she's broke here and I want MORE.
She's done it again. I am truly grateful to be alive in the age of Carly Rae Jepsen. One of the best to ever do the whole popstar thing.
