The leaks are interesting. I must echo that Surrender My Heart definitely has "A touch of the beat..." vibes, while feeling 100% Carly. With the right progression, I can see how it could live in the same universe the way Warm Blood and I Really Like You ultimately do. But...the lack of promo since Coachella makes me feel like we're going to be waiting in the western winds for a while before we get the album. That's ok, these breezes are just as lovely as they were a month ago tbh.
Hearing Carly say "fuck' in Surrender My Heart just feels right. Something about the drama and subject matter of the song also feels cinematic to me. Like the vulnerability of Real Love meets the sugar rush of Cut to the Feeling. The more I listen the more I fall in love with it. If it is indeed the next "single", I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was a Pride tie-in, used for one of the many new shows/movies premiering this month (Love Victor, Queer As Folk reboot..etc)
Surrender My Heart is just fine to me? Whenever I listen to this song, I'm reminded of how 'This Love Isn't Crazy' was such a mega bop, yet her fans paid it dust. I can't see Surrender My Heart making any noise among her fans.
Is the album called So Nice? Stan Marcos Valle! ETA: the poster is serving Canva design. Autosufficient queen!
My Queen Carly at my Queen The Greek Theatre?! What an ideal venue for a night of feeling those western winds.
