All of the singles for this project have been legitimately great and I really hope the album will be fantastic.

Late to the party, but damn. ‘Gone’ is peak Charli, the confluence of all of her sounds and themes in one glistening, perfect package.

The album is going to be phenomenal.

I wish the full fledged chorus came back at the end, but otherwise this song is taking over my life. I have much more faith in the album now. The production during Chris's verse is incredible and very Pop 2-esque.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of Christine and the Queens then? The lyrics are so idiosyncratically her, slightly awkward English included. It doesn't bother me at all.

I do. Just prefer Charli generally, and certainly would prefer for Chari songs to feel more like Charli songs than Chris.

Honestly it sounds exactly the way a collaboration between them should sound. It's got enough of each of their DNA in it that you hear both styles without one dominating the other.

I'd say Gone is very well balanced in terms of merging Charli and Chris and their respective singing and production styles, with Robyn as the most obvious reference and a dash of Janet circa Rhythm Nation.

This and 1999 being on the same album is a little weird, but both bop so let's celebrate that!!

Purely from a production standpoint, I feel like this song and 1999 have much more in common than either do with Blame It On Your Love.

Gone is great. It's very much a cross between an 80s bop and PC Music, and then it turns into a Shep Pettibone 12 inch mix for the final minute. Wig.

I think it's the first of the album's singles that feels like a genuine collaboration. Chris' style is dripping all over the track and she very nearly steals the show here. They're both so magnetic and charming and brilliant.

These are some of her best lyrics ever (Christine ha impact). It’s a refreshing detour from the hedonist sugar rush of her recent output. It feels more in tune with the True Romance singer I first fell in love with years ago, but with the cutting edge sonic landscape of modern Charli. I’m obsessed!

Listening on headphones, I realize Charli is also whispering under her pre-chorus. Honestly, her mind.

I can't stop thinking about how "why do we keep when the water runs?" simultaneously means nothing and everything at the same time. It's such an incredible pop lyric because of it.

This song sounds PHENOMENAL on headphones by the way. The pulse, the backbeat of the song, really comes alive.
