I remember years ago Charli said in an interview that she never got booked for Coachella bc the booking agent didn’t like her music. Glad she finally got her own set after appearing in her collaborator’s sets before.

Seeing her at Coachella this weekend marked my 9th live XCX experience (and almost one decade to the date since the first when she opened for Marina) and I think it might have been the best, despite the daytime festival setting. This is the most confident and engaging she's ever been on stage, the setlist was bulletproof, and the dancers were fantastic. I was legitimately proud of her, as well as proud to be a fan, by the end. Say what you want about the Crash album (which I wholeheartedly adored), she feels at the top of her game as an artist and performer, and I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.

I just watched a recording of the live stream and couldn't be more proud!! I'm so glad she did Welcome To My Island, that was my highlight, though Track 10 was absolutely transcendent as usual. It's amazing to see her perform in front of a crowd that big and it seems like they did right by her.

Her Weekend 2 performance slayed even harder and the crowd energy seemed a lot better as well. Her commitment and energy whilst performing is truly unrivaled by her industry peers, like go girl give us everything.

Only thing missing was she didn't do 1999, which was kind of surprising given that it seemed like one of the bigger crowd pleasers last weekend.

It's now officially the end of the Crash era.
