I love her so much. So much.
I want her to sing Boom Clap that way now !
The cheeks slap on and on and on and on and on, yeah.
Listened to Girls Night Out this morning and what a fucking SONG.
Girls Night Out is her best single, and I am not accepting differing opinions at this time.
Not in the simulation where 5 in the Morning exists.
All of the these choices and No Angel is sitting right there.
2. No Angel
3. 5 in the Morning
4. Girls Night Out
SuperLove still puts all of them to shame.
Must we do this every two weeks?
I think 5 In The Morning is her only post Pop 2 single that's really that good. Girls Night Out is straight up bad, 1999 is a bop but contrived as fuck, Focus is repetitive and nothingy (I listened to the instrumental by itself and was taken aback by little is actually going on compared to the thrilling dynamic production of some of her other songs), No Angel is a nice melody but overall feels pretty inessential. I just don't see what's impressive about most of these songs.
To be honest with you Diane, I think Charli just...might be saving her more “experimental” records for her albums. Between Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 we got Boys, and while I don’t think anything she’s put out since then bar maybe 1999 has been as “basic”, the summer singles seemed like a way to get some new music and fan favorites out and attempt to keep the whiny Discord gays sated while she toured and recorded more material.
“Wanna hear my new song for my 2016 album”
“Okay ... fuck no”
“Fuck you then”
This "Girls Night Out" slander. I can't.
Y'all don't appreciate bops.
Imagine choosing anything but "Focus" and "No Angel" as her two best post-"Pop 2" tracks.
