I'm all for her wanting a piece of the "I Love It" pie but at the same time I'm worried there won't be a big enough difference to separate the two. It's great she's releasing albums so quickly though.

I hope we get a few of the mix tape songs on the second album. The ones that made the first album, I thought, were some of the weaker ones.

I'm still reeling from True Romance, which is probably my album of 2013, and the girl just keeps the music coming.

Maybe this is just paranoia but I'm worried that the new material will be subpar as a result of her being rushed back into the studio. True Romance took what, two years to get together? And I thought the whole point of her giving "I Love It" away was because she felt it didn't really fit her... but hey, she's got a label and team with an opportunity on their hands. Money (chart success) talks, I guess.

As I said in the other thread, I'd prefer a re-release/deluxe edition of True Romance, or an EP like every other female soloist seems to be doing these days... no "quick!! new album, we've got a hit!" panic needed. In a dream world she could do a proper studio version of "Champagne Coast".

Charli seems to be an artist that is constantly writing and working on new music, so none of this really feels rushed. She seems to just want to get as much music out to us, the fans, as possible. You can see this in her mixtapes of the past.

Yeah I don't see it as being rushed in the studio, more like the material was ready so why sit on it.
