I'm so glad they delayed the album over here so it wasn't being released with "Break The Rules" missing the Top 20. Now they can release it in January with even less support and an even bigger flop when she loses what radio support she had.
Well, anyone with an ounce of sense knew "Break the Rules" was going to tank. (Looking over this thread that does seem to exclude quite a few posters, but that's neither here nor there.)
Break the Rules was on the radio today, truly a 'what the fuck OH MY GOD' moment. I think it might actually have a chance, just like everyone thought Boom Clap wouldn't do much, give it faith y'all.
Who thought "Boom Clap" wasn't going to do well? Its association with that dumb cancer movie that I refuse to name virtually guaranteed it some success.
"Break the Rules" is slowly climbing the American charts though. Her label should have pushed backed the UK release.
I'm sure the label has promo lined up, Break the Rules JUST went for adds last week. Boom Clap is still played incessantly so they'd be dumb not to ride that wave until it's truly dead and buried. I'm imaging this going #1 the week after Christmas, that'd be wonderful. The album, that is. Will we be getting a deluxe with bonus tracks or nah?
I heard Break the Rules twice in a span of two hours on Saturday. It was...strange. But it does sound great on radio.
