Charmed

Shannens latest episode of her podcast features Sarah Michelle Gellar , so lovely to hear how they speak about each. Tbh I did tear up abit towards the end , I love the fact how much they support each other.
I have been waiting for this! I need more Shannen and Sarah content.

I liked that fact shannen bought up the fact people thought they weren’t friends anymore because they hadn’t posted photos etc , I was convinced they had fallen out, im so pleased they haven’t.

While the back and forth is not very dignified, I think it was fair enough for Shannen to talk about the circumstances of her departure from Charmed on her podcast given that she’s never spoken about it (or anything really) before. Before this, she allowed people to make assumptions (mostly negative, given her reputation) through her silence and I guess at this stage in her life, she wanted to share her side which ultimately triggered all of this drama.

I feel like I need to get this off my chest being a fan of the show for the first three seasons and then when Rose came around i just gave up. I did adore Rose though because she brought a different dynamic to the girls but the show was so horrible and childish that I couldn't do it anymore.

It WAS easier to hate on Shannen because of what happened in 90210 and she always had this somewhat betchy/mean girl persona to her characters (it's just the boss betch energy people can't take), while Alyssa had that girl next door look that people would usually root for. I'm so happy Shannen is telling her truth and her star presence on both shows that were integral to my 'younger' years will never be forgotten.

I'm very surprised this show has that many loyal fans, I mean most of them were probably phaggertz but to see it still going on strong like this? Good for them.

Honestly, I'm not even a fan of this show, but I can't help but get drawn into the never ending drama among the cast.

One moment Holly & Alyssa are close friends and Holly & Shannon hate each other, and then it's the other way around. Rose goes from praising Alyssa on socials to loathing her very existence. I can’t keep up jaja.

To be honest, I think they all played a part in what happened, and it's time to put it behind them and move forward. And whilst I don’t think they mean to it feels very much like they’re kinda ganging up on Alyssa (even though I don't think that's their intention).

Also, Alyssa has been the only one to call for a ceasefire so she has my respect. Whilst Shannon and her bestie SMG have both revealed themselves as genocide supporters.

I am struggling to understand why Alyssa, or the other actors/writers that have responded in support of Alyssa’s post, are implying that she has been made out to have been terrible to people on set. Shannen and Holly never made her out to be like that I don’t think.

Shannen was just speaking her truth, and did not make Alyssa take all the blame. The animosity that Holly shared had nothing to do with Alyssa either. It largely had to do with how Shannen was treated generally, and how she was forced to stay by one of the male producers.

I think Alyssa is really showing her ass again.

It’s so annoying that pretty much the only thing Alyssa’s fans can hit back at Shannen with is her exit from Beverly Hills 90210.

Because she partied too hard in her early 20s and got sacked because of lateness it obviously meant she was the big bad on Charmed.

Even more sick is that Alyssa was actually liking posts by vile trolls who said Shannen was using “the cancer card” for sympathy.

Pathetic.

Alyssa is just showing her true colours !! She should spend more time getting the kids on the baseball team to earn the money themselves for their trips rather than using a go fund me !

I came in late to Charmed, during the Rose years, so I'm fairly unbiased towards Shannen. But my perception after reading multiple accounts is that Shannen was a professional. She wanted to push the show into a more mature direction, she expected her costars to be on her level, and was becoming more present behind the cameras as well. Hell, she directed the best episode in the show!

I can defitnely see her growing influence in the show making young, less talented, last-minute-replacement Alyssa Milano (and perhaps male producers, writers and directors as well) insecure and competitive. It's a shame that she still seems not to understand.

But can I just say... out of all the women it's HMC that annoys me the most ddd

According to Shannen’s latest Let’s be clear episode (with Holly), Shannen wasn’t interested in joining their self funded podcast so she went away and secured a producer and budget (courtesy of iheartradio) so that they’d be paid for their efforts.

I’m hoping that Shannen’s involvement will result in House of Halliwell being a lot more disciplined and structured than it was in its original incarnation, which all too often descended into general chat about their personal lives. Let’s be clear has its faults but Shannen definitely knows how to run a tight podcast.
