Charmed

I was at Comic Con Aberdeen in March where Shannen, Holly and Rose were. I managed to meet Holly and Rose, but not Shannen (something I’ll forever kick myself for!!) but I did see her and see how lovely she was with fans. One woman was in tears meeting her and Shannen gave her the warmest hug. I remember saying to my friend how sweet she seemed.

I so wish I had saved more pennies for the con and got to meet her.

This is such a shame and a loss for everyone who grew up loving all of her characters and how amazingly she portrayed them. I truly hope she’s at peace.

She didn’t sound like her normal self here. I’m guessing she was on hard pain meds. So sad.

I wish she’d been part of this podcast from its original incarnation and we’d gotten her feedback on all her episodes. She was so insightful.

Listened to this earlier on and Shannen sounded so weak compared to the other episodes , is this the last one with her or is there one more?

It’s so sad we won’t get to hear shannen talk about the later episodes and seasons.

There’s one more and sadly it’s not a very good ep.

I've been on a selective Charmed binge lately (me choosing the episodes) and fuck me, when they honed in on the sister/sacrifice dynamic of it all, they really did it well. Even in Season 3, where clearly Shannen and Alyssa were no longer speaking, they were dynamic. Rose brought the same energy in her later seasons with Holly just always excelling at emotional work, especially in two of my many favourites 'A Paige from The Past' and 'The Day Magic Died'. It's forever a shame we never got to see what a Prue/Paige relationship would look like but I take gift in the real life dynamic that Shannen and Rose got to create.
