Cheryl

He/Him
I’ve just seen on Facebook that 2:22: A Ghost Story is going on its first UK tour starting September 2023. Do we think Cheryl will tour? She’s certainly a great name to fill seats across the country, and with the amazing reviews she’s getting too it should be a no brainer, but I’m not sure she’d commit to a tour?
I would be surprised if she agreed to do a tour that started in September, as I think her son is now school aged, and she's made clear that providing him with a stable and "normal" upbringing is her priority.

Yeah that was kind of my thinking too. A shame really as I can’t make it to London by April and she’s so good in the role but it’s completely understandable.

She was great in the A Ghost Story. The script really plays to her strengths, tapping (the fookin' table) into that doe-eyed vulnerability which felt familiar from The X Factor days. I have to admit I went along just to see Cheryl and didn't think she'd be able to act her way out of a paper bag but she really proved me wrong.

Cheryl meeting a fan outside the venue.
Whoever the lady speaking is needs to learn some manners. How awfully rude. Cheryl on the other hand comes across so down to earth.
I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see her in the play before she finishes her stint.

This woman is known as "bag lady" in Cheryl fan circles and is at best abrasive and at her worst downright rude. Cheryl actively wants to stop for fans and seems to be allowed to sign and have distanced selfies but "bag lady" (and to a point her security) are obsessed with the scenario of her getting COVID. Seems unusual that the theatre/security call the shots over the act, but as she's the star attraction perhaps she has to play ball with what the theatre want.

Doing the regional tour would be a great way to cement her acting career a bit more, I think, and make this look less like a stunt casting. She's been getting really great reviews so it would be nice to ride that wave a bit.

She really impressed me in 2:22, and I went in with bare minimum expectations. A bit more experience and she could genuinely pivot full-time doing acting I think. She was giving a li'l Suranne Jones energy when I saw her.

Just me or is this vocally quite Cheryl?
I genuinely thought it was an underplayed album track of hers until I checked my phone.
(probably strengthened by the vague memory of a "last... standing" song in her discography)

I have tickets for May 2024(!) so would love this but I think it's unlikely. Hopefully they'll get some other decent names involved for the tour.

Oh is that when the regional tour is? Maybe its unlikely then.
