Christina Aguilera - 7th Album

Look, maybe this is too soon and it'll be like 3 years before anything happens, but I gotta manifest.

This also comes with the announcement of her new Vegas residency:

The genie is officially out of the bottle: Pop superstar Christina Aguilera is heading back to Las Vegas.

On Tuesday (Oct. 10), Aguilera exclusively announced with Billboard her new series of shows set to take place at the Voltaire Belle de Nuit at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas starting New Year’s Eve weekend. Taking place in Voltaire’s “seductively cozy” performance space, the show will follow the singer through two decades of hit songs.

“I look forward to bringing Las Vegas a new show that fuses music, sophistication and art in ways I have never performed before,” Aguilera says in a statement. “What I love about the intimacy at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort is how up-close-and-personal I can be with the audience … a truly modern twist on the performance experience.”

The new shows will officially kick off Dec. 30 and 31, with future dates set to be announced on Friday (Oct. 13). In a statement, Voltaire founder Michael Gruber says the venue’s goal is to create “superstar artist experiences in Las Vegas” and that the “incredibly talented” Aguilera will help “highlight that Voltaire experience.”

Aguilera is not the only artist set to grace the Voltaire stage this year: Back in July, pop singer Kylie Minogue announced that she would be the first performer to bring a residency to the venue starting Nov. 3. In a subsequent interview with Billboard, the “Padam Padam” singer described the venue as “a cross between a ‘30s cabaret club and Studio 54.”

Meanwhile, Aguilera made headlines for her own live performance earlier this year when she headlined NYC’s Pride Island back in late June, where she celebrated the LGBTQ community with a set of her biggest hits to date. “There’s a lot of bleak things out there right now,” she told the crowd during her dazzling set. “We are here tonight and we stand in unison to be free to be ourselves.”

Tickets for the opening dates of Christina Aguilera’s Voltaire shows go on sale Friday (Oct. 13) at Voltaire’s website.

Posted this in her general thread, but I feel like it belongs here.

I'm kind of in the mood for a fun album from Leyenda Equis. My obsession with Slayyyter's STARFUCKER these days has had me thinking about how some tracks towards the end of Bionic's tracklist are kind of... the proto-blueprint for this sort of unabashed I'm a slut teehee! pop that's prevalent nowadays, at least partly? Bionic was obviously more than that (it was too many things!), and what the girls are doing now is not directly equivalent to what she was doing, but I can see some sort of through-line there. My point being that I would like to get something carefree, colorful, queer-coded, and cunt from Christina. She can be a menace with a latex thigh-high boot on.

I do kinda want her to go down the Bionic route again, like it’s so obvious in recent years that she adores that album and how ridiculous and over the top it is. Pull a Back to Basics and do a double album of 10 tracks of big titted dance pop and a second disc of like 8 tracks of down tempo electronica and dramatic disco tinged ballads.

Basically, the blueprint should be

Disc 1:

Disc 2:

Honestly this is exactly what I'd want from her next album. Super glossy, campy pop since she's basically been doing the Pride World Tour at this point, it seems like an obvious move. But if she doesn't do that, then a step deeper into the soundscape of Liberation's highlights would be more than welcome. Going into a more R&B route with songs in the vein of Like I Do, Pipe, Deserve & Twice but more like Raven by Kelela.

I mean, as long as it's actually inspired and feels like a complete body of work, I'll be happy. Just not another Lotus.

Also while we're on the topic of big boob energy:

Bionic is a big boob album – period! The girls couldn’t take it! Had Perez and Out Magazine running hit pieces, Gaga was fuming from under her wig…
Not to mention it should have been her ballad era! The material was there, people were momentarily deaf! "Lift Me Up", "You Lost Me" and "Sex for Breakfast" ("Morning Dessert" being an interlude of Janet's dreams, love it so much).

WooHoo needs a radio edit and a music video. Make it a trend on TikTok mother, come on!

I've had literal dreams that WooHoo went viral on Tik Tok and RCA starts promoting it and Christina finally made a video for it. The youth needs to get on it.

Lift Me Up is a smash with a bad track. If it had more traditional top 40 ballad production it would probably be the most obvious single on Bionic.
