A1 - 1. Tears can be so softWhat's the condensed tracklist? I can't see it anywhere
Disagree...made me stop at 6:45 am BST and sit down and listen to the track. I also looked up the title as my bundle of course had not been delivered (still hasn’t. Why bother paying extra for DHL to deliver within one day..anyway)...a great trackTrack 10 will be difficult for everyone, it’s a pure rock opera instrumental he adlibs over, when he played it before the encore at his LA show, people struggled to maintain the energy, but I’m really looking forward to diving into this as a whole. All the pre-release songs have been great, and To Be Honest is always close to the top of my ‘Play Next’ list.
Sadly he has no true place yet in the world of music...he is complete misunderstood and his delivery whether it through a song or performance is lost to the masses. He is a performance artist who is true to himself and I believe has found an inner strength to continue on this path. The Primavera performance proofed this. Maybe just like Pete Burns and Dead Or Alive he is before it’s timeYet to listen to the full album but I’ve always felt somewhat bittersweet about the trajectory his career ended up taking. I feel like he really deserves the true stardom like no other with multiple number ones and utter adoration from public etc. (aka Tinashe) and it did appear to head that way when his debut came out, only to be deflated gradually to where he is now. Like, I was actually somewhat shocked at just how little traction Redcar was getting. I didn’t even realise it was out until much later myself. I’m happy he’s doing uncompromising music that is loyal to his vision and I’m always excited to hear what he wants to say, but yeah.
I actually don’t think he wants to be a pop star and nor do I want him to follow in the same vein as most of the chart stuff and heritage artists clinging onto whatever...I think the audiences need to catch up to him - he is no pop star at present as we traditionally conceive of them. I predict Girlfriend/Tilted/New Shapes style stuff again in the future, but they’re carving their own path in a way not many artists can or are able to. It’ll be interesting to see what the commercial result of this prolonged era is… will there be label support next time?
