They are known for their electronic/synthpop sound with rather deep cutting lyrics too. They provide the electro pop bops and the rather tear inducing songs you’ll appreciate. They started as a rather indie group but have become more and more popular naturally with their sound becoming more mainstream along the way.

I’m doing this rate to celebrate their discography thus far, I first came to know of them thanks to this very site when a certain member played one of their best tracks on Plug.DJ and the rest was history. I fell in love quickly and had to dive into to their first two albums. Lauren’s heavenly voice was addictive and I hope by doing this rate you’ll come to appreciate the group too. Well that’s if you haven’t already listened to them by this point. They recently released their 3rd album and it’s probably their most generic pop material to date.

So the usual rules apply here, you have one special 11 score to give to your favourite song. The star of the rate. You’ll score the rest of the scores anything from 0 to 10 depending on how you feel about them and make sure to leave some commentary if possible! If there’s a song with multiple versions then pick your favourite and rate that one.

Also a big shoutout to @ohnostalgia for doing a lot of the graphics/artwork for the rate, she's been a star. Make sure you check out The Graphics Help Desk.

There’s 51 songs to rate, so go explore the CHVRCHES sound.

I did have a big bunch of those in the extras section but was a bit worried it'd be off-putting. If there's any faves you'd like to be added then I'm all ears.
It's actually my go to question when starting a rate. Goldfrapp only had 1 so that was fine. I forgot about Grimes' inclusion on Tegan & Sara's Con X anniversary album until it was too late to include it.

But it's not too late to include Chvrches' rendition of 'Call It Off' in the Extras section.

They actually are a band that because of their electronic genre, can create amazing live performances for radio.
If they were recorded properly then I would insist on their inclusion.

Also these which are all on YouTube:
'Stay Another Day' - Girls Aloud
'Somebody Else' - 1975
'Do I Wanna Know?' - Arctic Monkeys
'Tightrope' - Janelle Monae
'X O' - Beyoncé
'Team' - Lorde
'I Would Die 4 U' - Prince
'This Is What You Came For' - Calvin | Rihanna
'Bela Lagosi's Dead' - Bauhaus
'Love' - Kendrick Lamar
'Plainsong' - The Cure
'What Do You Mean?' - that evil guy.
'Falling' - Haim

Oh thanks, I've added Call It Off to the extras section as it's a studio cover version. Might highlight some of their other covers before voting closes too.
