COMPLETE GARBAGE: The Discography Rate (WINNER!)

Thanks @NecessaryVoodoo for hosting this rate, it's been awesome. Absolute jaw-dropped that Push It didn't win. I was convinced that it would snatch that crown, but ecstatic that You Look So Fine emerged the winner.

The Brad Pitt story kills me. Can YOU IMAGINE the press coverage and video airplay they would have got - 1999 was still pop culturally in the peak Brad era. That was the biggest revelation from the new book, and I'm so amazed that they managed to keep that anecdote quiet for 18 years.

Which means the winning album is Version 2.0:

And as a bonus, here's how the Top 10 songs changed over the voting period:

Cripes! My 11 was initially number 1! Well, that's something I suppose!

YES! I was absolutely sure that Push It would take the crown, but I'm so delighted that for the very first time my 11 came out on top in a rate! Such a hauntingly gorgeous song, their absolute best ballad (and that says a lot). I love the middle eight that arrives too early in the song and hits you like a ton of bricks right out nowhere (a la The Loving Kind a decade later). Masterpiece.

@NecessaryVoodoo, thank you for a brilliant rate!

But most of all me congratulating @NecessaryVoodoo for being his usual incredible self and running an amazing rate, with brilliant write ups and hilarious artwork and gifs:

Me when I see that Why Do You Love Me was never once in the top 10 during any point of the voting:

Now that's what I call a surprise twist ending! I love both of them so either one would have been a worthy winner in my eyes.

Thank you so much for this amazing rate, @NecessaryVoodoo! You clearly put a lot of work and love into this rate from the graphics to the write-ups to the research etc... All that effort shows and is what made this rate so good. Garbage would be proud.

I would have NEVER guessed "You Look So Fine" would win. Ever. Which makes me super pleased. "Push It" was a possible winner for me, although I feared "Queer" or "Vow", but "You Look So Fine"? Never. It's not a bopppppp! It's beautiful! It's almost as if a Michael Jackson rate ended with "Stranger In Moscow" winning. (It's my favourite song of his and I can't stand 90% of his ballads.)
