My scores for Haim aren't acually that harsh... I mean the songs themselves aren't bad, it's just hard to listen to the album in one go since the endless repetition starts to get on my nerves around track 3.

I'm not a fan of her music so quite a few songs got low-ish scores since they didn't appeal to me. What this rate got me to do was get St. Vincent's album and add it to my library!
