Well you have to listen to them, you see. There is literally not a single worthwhile song in the extra section.

I think everyone who took part in that rate agrees that there truly were multiple heartbreaking and unjust moments in that rate. Lana being kicked out first, BANKS losing so many good songs too early after dodging the first 20 or something eliminations, Shura's slow songs being done dirty, People continuing to scalp Marina down to her skull even after the weaker FROOT songs got eliminated etc... It was a mess.Remembering the context of this skull dragging.
I'm looking at it now and the commentary from the low scorers is beyond tragic.Mother Earth not even cracking the top 30 of last year's rate still angers me.
@Can't Speak French "Lovely guitar, beautiful guitar. It’s just a bit… bland." Fuck you. @Sprockrooster "Hmmm. I wish I would love this more, cause the lyrics deserve that." Fuck you. And to the ones who gave this a score lower than a 7 but who didn't submit commentary, F U C K Y O U .
Some of you do try my patience but are positive enough that I'm going to try to maintain composure. @sfmartin somehow doesn't find replay value in this gorgeous song. "It’s a pretty song with gospelly vibes, very different than anything she has done before. It’s not something I would chose to listen to over and over again." Is it because the talent just overwhelms you?
To be honest I find it not very good because it’s a sluggish retread of things she’s done better in the past. Love and Lust for Life were huge steps forward for her, and everything else that followed was ultimately a regression.I also found it boring the first few times I listened when it first came out (not including "Love" which is untouchably good). Breaking up your listening will help cause it is a little over long. The final three songs fit together beautifully and anyone sleeping on "Heroin" is missing out on one of the best musical moments of 2017.

Well that is because you are claiming she regressed musically and lyrically when it is clearly the opposite with the second half of the record. Other than that i dont give a fuck if you hate her record. But whatever work your victim complex.
The fact is, how can you single her out for being one-note when Lust For Life has such a distinct separation between the hip-hop leanings of the first half and the acoustic vibes of the second? You can blame her for not straddling too far from her usual melancholy languor all you want, you can say there's not much tempo variation in her songs, ok, that's fair, but let's stop with this "all her music sounds the same" because, quite frankly, it's just nonsense. Lana's actually much more adventurous sonically than most people give her credit for. I mean, have you actually listened to Summer Bummer? Do you really think Cherry is the carbon copy of Change? That In My Feelings is Get Free's long lost sister? How can you listen to all her albums and claim her music sounds the same? I'm genuinely curious, because to me all her albums have such a distinctive sound and identity, and even inside them most tracks stand out on their own.I'm just expressing my opinion - it's not even an uncommon one. A quick glance over plenty of reviews of her records reveals that plenty of people find her talent impressive but ultimately a lot of her music one note.
This is a much better description of what I'm trying to say. Her music, lyrically and musically, exists in a very restricted world that I have grown tired of. For me at least, you could run her last three albums back to back and I couldn't tell you when one ends and another begins. I'm not even saying she has to suddenly drop everything and make a huge pop album or whatever. She just doesn't demonstrate that much range - that's why people don't give her much credit for being sonically adventurous. The fact is, how can you single her out for being one-note when Lust For Life has such a distinct separation between the hip-hop leanings of the first half and the acoustic vibes of the second?
