Whoops Now is really cute. Overall, I haven't been sad about any of the cuts so far. I'm also surprised to see Special still in this.

Special and Free Xone should be the only Velvet Rope tracks to leave anytime soon.

I'm guessing my poor Where Are You Now and maybe Someday Is Tonight will be the slow jams getting cut today.

Someday is Tonight is one of my favorite Janet songs (In fact, the trio of Lonely, Come Back to Me, and Someday is Tonight is my favorite run of songs in any album ever), so it would suck if it left this early.

The one weak link on Velvet Rope, Special, has not left yet. That was the one track from the album I figured would leave early but it's hanging in there.

No that song is absolutely necessary. It's sums up the entire growth she has made during this period in her life and everything up til then, as the journey through the album comes to a close and healing moment. The song is her return of saturn, and it even represents the meaning of the tattoo Sankofa symbol that the era used. How you can't run away from your pain and have to deal with it in order to heal, how you have to look back and learn from the past to move on in to the future; The album. It means so much to me and it's beautiful. And how amazing after that song comes Can't Be Stopped and closes it; another one of her most empowering anthems. As she now has had her healing moment, that inspires to carry on, stand tall again and thrive!

mrdonut (8.5) - Gorgeous Badalamenti-style synths in the intro, melodies that wouldn’t be out of place on a Lucy Pearl album and a wonderful Rock-Me-Baby rhythm make this a cut above most sex jamz.
evilsin (10) - I can't believe I used to find this dull! So sublime, so smooth, so sexy, so moist and juicy in all its luscious sounds, mmm.
AshleyKerwin (9) - I love the production on this.
mokitsu (6.5) - really Janet? you still can't say "f*ck" in a song title?
CasperFan (6.5) - A nice, inoffensive jam
Pop Gaz (5) - It’s an OK song is probably the most enthusiasm you could get out of me for this. Tries to do a That’s The Way, but fails, very forgettable, and far to early in the track list, kills any momentum.
WhatKindOfKylie? (7) - A nice chilled make out jam, and one that isn't overly sexual as her other makeout sex songs, but just as effective.
Sprockrooster (8) - Beautiful vocals and loving that electronic element in the beat.
Ray (6.5) - This is actually marginally better than I remember it being.
Br0dy (6) - The production is a bit odd, doesn't seem to fit the vocals.

I can't believe that awful Best things In Life... is still in? Over so many of these jams/gems. Did people rate the (amazing) remix of it instead?
