(7) - Okay, so I totally underscored this because I probably would've given it a 9 today (which would not have gotten it into the Top 50 before you try it). I loved VIP back in the day and "Drinks Taste Better When They're Free" was not the same, so I forgot about this group after that. That being said, I didn't know about this tune before hearing it for the rate. I've probably heard those classic eurodance synths a million times, but the girls ride them like a wave through the chorus and it's such a rush.
Keisha wants to rate grammar higher than melody. *Points to the door*
(4) - Points docked for saying "instinctual" (which is NOT A WORD) instead of "instinctive".
Well there aren't many as bubbly and as full of charisma as you Ally.
(4) - Oh my god how/why are both of them so utterly devoid of charisma or personality in this video!? An actual mess. Anyway yeah this is the wrong kind of generic bop, there's nothing special about it and the production just falls really flat.
Mutya just wants to leave Electrovamp in 2008 where he found them.

(4.5) - Did this really come out 7 years after the VIP song?? THEY tried for that long??? Oh dear.
Knowing the kind Kesha stan most of are, but especially Posh, this will comparison will indeed go over well.
(5) - More PC Music teas, this one sounds a bit like a beefed-up ‘Supernatural’, which will always get points from me. Pretty standard fare apart from that, though.
I just can't get past Frankie (or anyone, but especially Frankie) judging anyone in this rate on their vocals.
(6) - It’s fun and it has a nice little ‘80s vibe to it, but the girls’ voices sound way too bad for me to actually have any strong feelings about this. It’s nice to dance to in the summer and I wouldn’t turn up my nose when turnt theaux.
Heidi is going to be okay with this UK back-to-back then.
(7) - not as good as Vibe in the VIP.
Okay Melanie, but your best song is literally a montage of Leonardo, so I beg to differ.

(9.5) - I adore the affected “Instinctual” parts in the chorus/post-chorus, it’s the best part of the song! It’s also very Bratz movie in the best possible way. I gave this a much lower score at first but the robotic “Instinctual” hook has been stuck in my head for the last few days.

(10) - THIS GOES OFF. It demands my full attention and I am moving my body.
It wouldn't be a Posh moment if she didn't throw a little shade at the poor flop act while enjoying their tune.
(10) - I think this is the first time I’ve seen such a small amount of views from a vevo video. Poor that. This is so basic and cheap sounding but honestly it’s really euphoric and I’m bopping heavily.

(9) - After discovering "This Is The Life" (which was done so wrong in this rate) I heard this song and I was sold as a fan of their music. It's just so sweet, innit? "Someone let the flirt out" always puts a smile on my face. The "We can take it a slow..." part which bridges a double-chorus is brilliant and probably my favorite part. I worried that it might be too sickly-sweet for the lot of you, but it doesn't seem like anyone hated the song. It's the highest low-score we've had so far and I know there many divisive songs left to be eliminated.
Like I said Mutya, nobody hated it.

(10) - I was completely snatched when I saw their performance at Eurovision. Fucking hell, I do not think I ever recovered from it and the scars on my skull can prove it. A massive 11-contender and I cannot believe there is another song more worthy of it. The girls are serving attitude vocally and in the video. Prominent guitars and high rock vibe. Totally what I crave for!

I didn't have high hopes for Sweet California going into this (mostly because of their name), but I ended up really liking all of their songs. Infatuated is almost too sugary, but what a chorus! I hope Good Life sticks around for a while.
I started watching that "Gun" video, then quickly realized it would be a bad idea to watch anything Serebro-related while at work.

OK where to begin? I loved "Baby Doll" so I am very mad it got eliminated so early! Didn't help that my reaction to the next elimination was "Who? What?" I'm happy VIP got eliminated before Instinctual though I'm not happy Instinctual, my first 10 to go, got eliminated so soon after!
Sweet California was a great rate discovery so I'm sad about "Infatuated" hopefully "Good Life" stays in a little while longer! Serebro has also been another great discovery I only knew Mama Lover before the rate, but now I'm a huge fan! I feel pretty meh about "Song #1" being eliminated though. I'll finish up with giving one of favorite Serebro songs as an honorable mention.

Alright. Now that we've gotten through the lower 1/3 of the rate, I've decided to slow down to about three eliminations per day. (Plus I'm going to be glued to the Halo World Championships this weekend anyway)
It also works out perfectly because we have the one three-way tie of the rate coming up next! (There are no more ties after that until #35). Each region is getting a song.
We've been having like 1-3 10s per elimination so far, but we're about to cut thirteen and an 11. Hold onto your favs.
