Another act is leaving us and at this point, I'm considering it a little bit of payback for some of my favs getting crushed lately.
Despite getting an 11, it only grabbed three 10s. So I really have no idea how it got this far, but it's admittedly a classic.

Song Charted: #6 UK // #23 USA // #5 NZ // #69 USA Year-End (2001)
There is no doubt this is the group's signature song, being the only single to become Top 30 on the Billboard Chart. Though it was released in October 2000, it didn't chart in most places until 2001. The music video spent 27 days on TRL's countdown and involves a story of Kiely finding out her guy is seeing someone else and fallout from that. Kiely's rap in the video is different than on the album.
(7) - Like I didn't really stan for this song back then but hearing it recently (during another plug.DJ sess) gave me a lot of nostalgia. Of course Kiely's opening part will get most of the talk for better or worse, but I've always found it weirdly charming. Overall it's a pleasant track, but something I probably won't listen to much again after this rate. Definitely shouldn't have beaten all of Stockholm Syndrome or Serebro for starters.
Mutya needs a translator for Kiely's part. (or an umbrella)
(3) - What on earth is up with that first girl's voice? She sounds like she's stored up a gobful's worth of phlegm and is refusing to spit.
It was starting to put Michelle to sleep.
(3.5) - It’s so beige and dull. I can’t even bop to this! That rap is decent though.
Heidi is willing to blame someone in the studio and leave Kiley out of it.
(4) - poor use of vocal effects.
Nicola was trying to keep a straight-face.
(5) - The verses are laughably bad.
Something tells me this means it's on the lower tier of Kelly's taste.
(6) - Just my sort of thing.
Mollie's just upset because I told her which member I had a small crush on when I was younger.
(6) - BROKIN’ PROMITHES PROMITHES! PLAYA PLEATHE. Adrienne Bailon annoys me.
It's pretty amazing when Scary Spice explains her revelation and then starts rambling from there. xx
(6) - I only just saw The Cheetah Girls for the first time this week, and I was like “is that 3LW girl?” when Kiely Williams appeared on screen, and then found out that Adrienne Bailon was also “3LW girl”! A true S Club Juniors-The Saturdays / Big Brovaz-Booty Luv experience. Actually, why isn’t Booty Luv in this rate? Some Kinda Rush or Say It would have gotten my 11.
We should've expected this from Ally because if watch closely she's rolling her eyes at the end of "Work from Home".
(6.5) - Oof that big note at the end was a choice.
Nadine walked in and told Ally and Mollie to take several seats.
(7.5) - Keily's lisp and vocals (and personality based on youtube clips from their hey-day) are distracting, but the chorus is lovely. Adrienne is a rather strong singer actually, her middle 8 is top notch.
Just because you were in a band that got along Frankie, doesn't mean you can belittle the flops below you. dddd
(7.5) - Who knows exactly what mess went down behind the scenes of this car crash? Having said that, the song is a bop and a half and takes me right back to the early ‘00s when this kind of girlband was everywhere, but only Destiny’s Child made it… And who told that girl she could rap? Playa pleathe…
Sometimes Siobhan likes to repeat what Frankie says.
(9) - playa pleathe.
Diana waves the stars and stripes while getting her life.
(9) - This is so deliciously American.
Actually, you are first and only. I'll take that $5.
(9) - $5 says somebody references the KFC fight.
Keisha is probably used to the video version when she watched the video countdowns as a teen.
(9) - Ah, the iconic "promitheth, promitheth" song. Oddly the version on Spotify has a different rap from the version I've been listening to all these years, but I'll give it a nine all the same.
I...think this was a new discovery for Posh. If so, what rock were you under?
(10) - Wait. I literally had no idea this group existed. Extreme kii at them singing about being in the 8th grade, oh god. Anyway this song is excellent. Also, The Cheetah Girls should be in this rate. Justice for Strut and So Bring It On.
Short and sweet reasoning from Melanie.
(11) - Had to give this my 11. It's just a classic end of.
