Sorry I'm a bit out of the loop, but are the National Album Day versions of Girl the same as the ones I just pre-ordered last month?
I believe so. Good promotion for the reissue to be a part of this campaign.Sorry I'm a bit out of the loop, but are the National Album Day versions of Girl the same as the ones I just pre-ordered last month?
The Post actually showing her respect made me a little teary eyed. It’s a messy rag, but it took them like 5 paragraphs before saying she was Kylie’s sister.https://nypost.com/2023/09/18/dannii-minogue-called-russell-brand-vile-predator-in-2006/
Didn't expect to see Dannii in the NY Post in 2023.
My favourite Neon Nights single-forever Dirty Hands, I demand.Nice write-up on Put The Needle On It on the Can't Stop The Pop blog

"Hey (So What"!) with the beeps
The what now?
The original promo discs have a few beeps at the start of "Hey (So What!)", it's literally just beep beep beep and then it's the exact same, but I've got used to them.
Just spotted an old post from Barry Stone that says "Hey (So What!)" was supposed to have the four bleeps.
It is! Really authentic stuff, unique sounding and with old school synthethizers being used on a lot of the tracks. For example, the track A piece of time glitching/destroying itself towards the end is simply genius.Neon Nights, really is such a fabulous record isn't it? So glad it gave Dannii a well deserved chart boast in the early 00s.
Dannii, is so underrated. The sound of Neon Nights, still feels so throwback and yet still so fresh then and now. Quite something that.It is! With “throwback” sounding albums, there’s always a risk of sounding cliche and repetitive, but Dannii was really able to drink from the old and spit the new.
When you hear Dannii talking about the recording process you understand what a musical artist she is, paying close attention to production details and decisions. It really makes you wish for a label to finance the lady once more.
Not necessarily “better” but when I first heard it I thought it was exactly within Dannii’s wheelhouse.Does anyone else think Padam would be better as a Dannii single.
I remember when I first heard it I thought it sounded like something from Neon Nights.
Not Padam, but the majority of the tracks on Kylie's album was very Dannii for me. Especially Hold On To Now is very Disco Dannii.Does anyone else think Padam would be better as a Dannii single.
