Darren Hayes - Homosexual

There's not much production value, which he had in past tours, but he's mentioned how hard touring is atm so it's understandable. The setlist however has me perched, although I do miss Bloodstained Heart - an anthem! Hopefully he adds it for the UK leg.

I cried when I saw him do bloodstained heart last time on tour. My mum was unwell at the time and it really did hit me like a subway train.

Just home from the Sydney concert. Great show, but fuck those arrangements for Insatiable and Pop!ular need to go into the bin tout suite!
He played ICC Aware Super Theatre yeah?
It can hold 9,000 - was it sold-out?
His Australian venues are much larger than his American and Toronto venues.

Ohhhh, is this the current tour? I have tickets for this!

He’s indeed doing arenas in Australia and theatres in the UK and the US but none of the AU dates sold out, unfortunately.

Just came back from the Newcastle show and god DAMN was it amazing.

- The "Break My Soul" Queens remix was one of the pre-show songs and it sounded so good in the venue. (Taste!)
- Bachelor Girl did an incredible job as the opener, Tania was an amazing performer.
- Somehow the "Insatiable/Forget Me Nots" mashup sounds way better live than it did in the Aus Open performance.
- There was another fantastic mashup he did with "Pop!ular" and "Get Fresh at The Weekend". (Again, taste!)
- He went into a monologue at one point where he talked about how he moved to New York and broke up with his girlfriend, then he mentioned something about a Madonna song, then it went into a ballad section which I thought was nice.
- The backing singers he had were amazing, I think one of them ending up singing lead during the last two chorus rounds of I Knew I Loved You.
- Then it went into what he called "the party section" where he played a whole bunch of stuff from Homosexual.
- I was getting my absolute life to "Let's Try Being In Love" (they played the Louis La Roche remix).
- He finished the show off with "Truly Madly Deeply"... Except no he didn't, because then the band came back to play a muzak rendition of "Let's Try Being In Love", and then Darren came back, finished it off with "I Want You" and then closed it with "The Best Thing".

Overall, it was a really fun show and I would definitely love to go see it again if I could!
