I have to say I think its pretty sad that nobody has bothered letting the fanclub know the album has been leaked. I would ask anyone with details of where its been posted to let them know out of respect for Darren.

You say that like it''s some kind of responsibility as a fan to go snitching to the fanclub every five minutes. Most people just want to hear the music and will go to any lengths to do that. Darren should be flattered that people are willing to break the law out of excitement for something he''s made.

I quite believe the fanclub will already know anyway since they seem to have their ''people'' everywhere :/

Either way I won''t be downloading it because i like the smell of new cds.

I can wait, but I am loving reading all the comments. It makes me even more excited about the album.

In the meantime I am contenting myself with listening to the various B sides of the new single whilst reading Darren''s many blogs on his myspace site.

Actually no I say it like someone who feels really sad having for the last year read all Darren''s blogs throughout the process and knowing that he took the courage to go it alone that this has to be a huge blow and incredibly disappointing.

I think you''re taking this a bit too personally.

I''m a massive Darren fan and I don''t feel bad downloading it. What difference does it make if I''m going to buy it? Just means I get to hear it a bit earlier.

People always find excuses to justify why its ok.

I saw in your myspace youve got pictures taken at an aftershow with Darren, Id love to see you tell Darren to his face ohh its ok because Im going to buy it"

The fact is yes you may buy it and yes others may buy it but what about the people who wont buy it but are happy to download it and listen to it and send it to their friends or post it on their sites etc... So I think its actually you who has taken this personally not me because Im looking at a far bigger picture.

Myfallenheart - This is not a fan board (your posts are exclusively on DH). Popjustice runs on the fuel of hearing and commenting on leaks.

Darren is probably well aware of the realities of what happens when a CD hits the warehouse pre-delivery. He''s a big boy. Almost EVERY CD leaks and at least he kept his under wraps as long as he did. It''s not good, but it''s common. Darren is clearly aware of this as he''s been putting out free MP3''s and doing PR in a completely forward thinking way via bloggers and myspace, in addition to the usual outlets.

Your concern IS understandable, but I don''''t think PJers need the lecture. (Don''t read this as a "you''re not welcome here" post - that is not my intent)

My sister was a huge fan of Savage Garden and I can safely say I paid him no real attention back then. I found the music quite dull, while everyone else seemed to love it.

Reading all about your excitement, I borrowed "Spin" and "The Tension And The Spark"...and can''t believe I''ve ignored him for so long! I''ve just bought the single on iTunes and I''ve played it non stop since. I also read your blog xolondon, which you already know I love :) and now I''m hyper-excited too! From what you''ve all said, and from the evidence so far, this sounds like it''s going to be a very special album indeed.

Oh my, Darren is so talented! Does anyone think he''s got what it takes to become the greatest male popstar of our generation? With THREE brilliant albums under his belt, a couple of fantastic tours plus the Savage Garden back catalogue he''s certainly above Will and Justin and that says something!

Easily! I think you underestimate Darren. He knows how the industry works and knows people download it. While not everyone who downloads it will buy the album, it can still be seen as a positive as Darren''''s music is reaching out to more people. Besides, album sales are in decline and are rarely profitable, whereas live shows are more in profit now than ever before. So someone may not buy the album but may like it enough to go to see him live which still works out as a positive.

I''''d love to know why you are so against this. I''''m not going to feel bad for downloading the album when I have already pre-ordered my copy.

I have already preordered my copy but downloaded the few tracks I''ve found. Anyone have any clue as to where to find the others?

Darren did say that he knows that people will download his album but he hopes they will also buy it when it comes out. I wouldn''t do that to him. He''s far too talented an artist to just steal from him. ;)

I know he put alot of effort into the album. I read those blogs too ;)

But that''s not so say he''s put more effort in than any other artists whose albums are leaked. It''s a fact of life these days. I really don''t think it''s going to threaten his career. And in fact, many modern artists owe some of their success to word of mouth and somebody sending a friend some mp3s and passing things on. I just think it''s geat that the music is being spread and if i''d written an album, I''d just want as many people as possible to hear it. Surely real artistry is not about how many albums you sell.

Well, he''s no.20... Not bad, not bad. Although this does make me feel a bit worried about single no.2 and its chart position...

l better than I was expecting this time last week. I''d have loved him to be top 10, but it''s not as if missing top 10 means he''s denied the chance to go on TOTP or anything. At least they have to play him on Radio 1 at least once, and then they can go back to ignoring him some more.

Im really into ''Setting Sun'' today, its fantastic. Also does anyone else think the beginning of ''Words'' is just like Kate Bush''s ''A Coral Room''. The chords are so similar...I always expect Kate to start singing ''Theres a city....''
Gorgeous track though.

''Words'' is beautiful! I shed a few tears to that when I first heard it at his show in March I think it was. I think my favourite ballad on the album has to be ''Sing to me'' - there''s something about it I adore. It''s classic Darren, yet it sounds like he''s progressing. It needs to be a single!

''Sing to me'' is lovely. Casey too although that has a more uptempo backing, In fact the backing to that is quite special. As is the chorus,

Casey is definitely another favourite of mine. I always know subconsciously which my faves are as I sit down and write the lyrics out. So far I''ve done thatto sing to me, listen all you people and casey!
