Got it! Have only had a few listens all the way through, but so far favourites are:

Waking The Monster/Time Machine - I love how these two go together!

Sing To Me - gorgeous.

Listen All You People - like Affirmation, slightly cheesy but so positive I can''t help but grin all the way through it.

Listen all you people is the gayest thing he''s recorded since crush... but thats a good thing! We need a birrova gay anthem from him!

Smart move can''t think of a reasonable justification so instead change the subject and direct it at me. That''s ok I''ll let you off this time.

If it feels like a lecture then that must be you feeling guilty.

Myfallenheart - This is not a fan board (your posts are exclusively on DH). Popjustice runs on the fuel of hearing and commenting on leaks.

Darren is probably well aware of the realities of what happens when a CD hits the warehouse pre-delivery. He''''s a big boy. Almost EVERY CD leaks and at least he kept his under wraps as long as he did. It''''s not good, but it''''s common. Darren is clearly aware of this as he''''s been putting out free MP3''''s and doing PR in a completely forward thinking way via bloggers and myspace, in addition to the usual outlets.

Your concern IS understandable, but I don''''''''t think PJers need the lecture. (Don''''t read this as a "you''''re not welcome here" post - that is not my intent)

Easily! I think you underestimate Darren. He knows how the industry works and knows people download it. While not everyone who downloads it will buy the album, it can still be seen as a positive as Darren''''''''s music is reaching out to more people. Besides, album sales are in decline and are rarely profitable, whereas live shows are more in profit now than ever before. So someone may not buy the album but may like it enough to go to see him live which still works out as a positive.

I''''''''d love to know why you are so against this. I''''''''m not going to feel bad for downloading the album when I have already pre-ordered my copy.

Again more excuses.

The larger percentage of people who illegally download music today do NOT go on to legally buy the music.

You''ve chosen to ignore my repsonse explaining why I''m against it its not about you its about the bigger picture. He''s an independent self financed artist. Nobody has limitless funds. I would like Darren to be able to make music for as long as he wants to on his terms.

Taking his music is no different from someone using your bank card to withdraw cash for themselves and no matter how many people try to justify the action by saying ''Im going to buy it'' you cannot say that others will. Fact of the matter is whatever possible justification you can come up with to make yourself feel better. Its illegal.

Erm, I replied to your post. If you think thats ignoring, you must have serious mental health issues. Why else would you keep bringing this up when everyone else has moved on?

So yes, take your moral high ground and shove it!

(Can you tell I''m done with being nice?)

It would have nice if Popjustice had had a little sub-header after their instruction for everyone to buy With Every Heartbeat, for Darren - he deserved that.

To get top 20 after a two year break is nothing to be sniffed at, though. I have such high hopes for the album (yes, I''m being patient and waiting to buy it to hear it) - I hope it gets some attention, and doesn''t sink without trace.

I was hoping for top 20 so I''m quite pleased really. As said above, it''s nothing to be sniffed at, especially because since the whole project is being done by Darren himself. Roll on the album!

I am very happy that Darren has kept his unbroken run of top 20 singles - though the top 10 earlier in the week did give some false hope

Yeah I''m not going to pay attention to midweeks anymore. I was well excited thinking it''d be in the top 10. I guess 20 isn''t so bad though. I hope the album goes in a little bit higher though.

Myfallenheart is reminding me why I left the fan-club...

Indeed, and also the reason i won''t be renewing my membership when it expires. I really don''t think there''s a need to try to police everybody so much. To have rules on their own fanclub forums is one thing but to try to impose those all over the internet is just ridiculous and reflects badly on the fanclub.

I think the album will do a bit better. I mean i was really trying to persuade two of my friends to buy On the Verge - but said they would rather wait for the album, maybe a few other people are doing that - plus there''s not the heightened competition that there was in the singles chart

my only worry is that with the single i had multiple formats to purchase, 2 cds 1 dvd and various downloads but i will only be gettin one copy of the album so could this go against the sales

but ROBYN was getting airplay.. Darren wasnt. Now that hes in top 20, think the broadcasters are gonna add it?

If he had stayed top 10 then yeah they would, but top 20 - probably not. In the end it only did just over 5000 copies. So its basically his fanbase that have brought it and might not have brought new people on board. But thats probably because it hasn''t got any airplay and so we go around in circles

One.more.week.must.hold.out.

No...it''s really not an issue. Anyway...!

I''m just really pleased that there''s, for the most part, been a really positive reaction to the the single and album.

And yeah...he gets better looking every year....the sexy bastard.
