- Why is the Big Night In DVD so solid to get hold of? I don't see any mention of it being Limited Edition but it is nowhere apart from when it is at some ludicrous price. £30 from HMV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Is there anywhere I can buy all those unreleased tracks from the Delicate sessions other than his official site? You can only buy bundles and and because they're spread over about 5 different bundles, you end up paying for songs you don't want.
- Are those songs actually worth it?
- Too Close For Comfort - Is this worth it?
Goodness, sorry, I won't really be able to give you the answers you want.
The Big Night In DVD is a sod to get hold of because, I THINK, it wasn't actually ever released in the UK, so the only way is an Australian import. My advice would be to check eBay, though it's rare to find a bargain.
You can't buy the tracks from the bundles individually because they were bundled like that to boost his chart positions. Forgiveable at the time, but I think now the releases are long gone he should let people buy them individually. A few tracks made iTunes, such as a very very very good acoustic version of 'Casey' but not the demos.
My opinions about said tracks are thus:
Nothing in the Casey bundles are really worth it, the Casey, Walk Away and Words demos all have 0 plays in my iTunes.
The 'Who Would Have Thought' bundle is far more like it, the new track 'Breathless' is really lovely, and I actually prefer this demo version of 'The Only One' to the album version.
The 'Me Myself & I' bundle is similarly worth it, the acoustic version of On The Verge is very good, as is the demo of 'Every Little Thing', which was written with Eg White and is very very good.
The 'On The Verge...' bundle is sort of worth it, I don't think much at all of 'Ocean' but 'God Is In The Room' is a very solid song.
It's also worth checking out his physical CDs for other bonus tracks, in particular the live version of 'I Just Want You To Love Me' on one of the 'On The Verge' physicals, it is excellent, and iTunes for the bonus track 'Love Is In Everything' not included on the CD.
Too Close For Comfort I confess I've never watched, I saw what must have been an extended trailer sort of thing a while ago and was unimpressed, it seemed to show his worse side.
