I can only imagine is actually a really good song too. I'm very surprised.

Titanium is #15 on UK iTunes...seeing Sia that high is giving me such a thrill.

Re: David Guetta - Nothing But The Beat [August 29th] +Singles

Tried to listen to Titanium. Emphasis on tried, Sia sounds like she's singing in an airing cupboard. No me gusta.

I have never heard about this Sia person, so I didn't know what to expect about it when I saw the reactions on this thread. It is amazingly good, I don't think it's raved about because it's Sia. I think it's raved about because it's just a good song.

Is it a single?

The thing is, it's not even because it's Sia that I love it, as I think Mary J Blidge did a similarly good job. You take all the production elements out of it, and there's still a great melody and lyrics there. The chorus imparticular is brilliant. I'd actually go as far as saying "the drop" after the chorus is the most boring part of the song.

FIRE AWAY, FIRE AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

This is doing very very well for an iTunes promotion single. Almost in the top 10 on Irish iTunes.

I think I have only listened to one or two Sia songs, so when I say Titanium is FUCKING AMAZING , I mean it. There is no bias.

I can't believe Guetta can produce something as amazing as this.

The problem with Mary J Blige's version is the (bad) autotune in the chorus, and she sort of sounds like she's singing underwater in the verses.

Also, the drop is amazing!

You would love Sia, DirtyPornStar.

Hearing his song with Sia was just so bizarre... such a weird collaboration.

It must be frustrating being David Guetta, knowing 'When Love Takes Over' is your best song and everything since has been completely awful.

Re: David Guetta - Nothing But The Beat [August 29th] +Singles

I'd imagine the money is a great comfort.

Now, if we're going to talk about overrated, that song is it.

Rowland's shrill voice singing yelling over what sounds like a dance remix of a Coldplay song. Not exactly my cup of tea.

I envy you. There's a raft of absolutely amazing music you can now explore for the first time, should you wish to.

We can add Sia to the list of people so brilliant that even prize assclown David Guetta can't do anything to fuck it up. Well, I say 'list' - it's more like a sheet of paper with 'Kelis' written on it.

I'm interested in more Sia. I've only heard Clap Your Hands of hers about twice...what other songs from her are worth the listen?

This is not completely awful. Go and sit in the corner and think about what you've just said.

Uhmmm... Whole discography. Sia is phenomenal.

If you liked Clap Your Hands much, start with her last album, We Are Born. It's fun, dancey, but still very Sia. However, if you are more of a ballad lover, then start with Colour The Small One. It's the album that made me fall in love with her. Also, Some People Have Real Problems is fantastic record, but I suggest you to listen to CTSO before it.

Songs in particular?
Uptempos: Bring Night, Never Gonna Leave Me, Hurting Me Now, The Fight
Downtempos: Butterflies, Moon, Don't Bring Me Down, Little Black Sandals, Rewrite, Lentil, Soon We'll Be Found, Day Too Soon, The Bully, Sweet Potato... pretty much all of her songs.
