I am glad there was slight movement song wise on Memento Mori probably more due to Martin co-writing with Richard Butler. But I also have to be honest on the last few albums some of Dave's written tracks have been stronger than Martins. For instance I think both Before We Drown and Cover Me are superb.

Cover Me felt (to me) like the closest they’ve been to a purer ‘Violator’ sound fit some time.
