  1. Bills, Bills, Bills has been going viral on TikTok the past few weeks.

  2. I couldn't care less about TikTok, but news like this is amazing.

  3. Correct. Kelly actually sings the first half of the second verse.
  4. I just listened again and Beyonce comes in at "can't be abrasive", right? So Kelly can rightfully claim this as a #1 for herself too!
  5. Ooo. I never knew.

  6. Oh wow. They sound like they're trading lines in the first half of the second verse but I can definitely hear Kelly now.

  7. How did that happen? Like, how did she not end up as a credit?

  8. At least she's credited but getting essentially a full verse and not being even mentioned outside of the credits is a bit cheeky!

EDIT: She's not credited on the single or the album.

  9. Just dropping by to say I absolutely love the The Writing’s On the Wall album. I still use Temptation and Now That She’s Gone. LaTavia’s lower registers, despite being delegated to background vocals, are sublime.

I was on YouTube and the Bills Bills Bills music video came up as an ad, first ad I haven't skipped! BOP.

  11. I remember it coming out on radio as a DC song then later seeing the Beyonce solo video.
  12. You mean, like the time they used Jody Watley’s Sweet Sixteen and failed to credit her? I love Beyoncé and DC, but the music business is dark.
  13. Surprised JW didn’t call them out about it. She is quite vocal you know.

  14. She did, but in a measured way. Lawyers were involved - it’s in her interest to be nice. She got her share of royalties, which has to be substantial. Later pressings of the album credits her as one of the songwriters. But it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Does anyone know/remember when they released Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer?
Wikipedia says it was a single in january 2002 but.. that doesn't even make sense?
Then the discography page says 2004, but Discogs says 2003 so erm.. yeah.. I'm lost
  16. A bonus CD of "Rudolph" was given away with the film DVD in 2003. That's been the only 'release' of it.

Not Beyonce getting the sole writing credit for Silent Night!

  18. I remember finding this hilarious when I was younger.

Also I once made my parents play the DC Christmas album in the car. When it got to Beyoncé's adlibs in 'Silent Night' my Dad swore he was gonna crash if we didn't eject the CD.
