Disney

I think it's really shit that movie studios are just abandoning cinemas.

Yes, studios aren't going to make as much money putting films in cinemas but what money are they going to make when cinema chains have all collapsed?

I did like Onward but it didn’t feel like a Pixar movie to me. I felt like a Disney movie or even a Dreamworks movie. It was a good story but it didn’t feel particularly original which is usually the best thing about Pixar movies. And I’m still mad about the ending.
That he didn’t get to meet his Dad.

Disney announced that streaming is going to become their main focus basically and the CEO said on CNBC that they'll be looking to put films on Disney+ at the same time as them being released in theatres. They’ll announce more in December.

I didn’t even realise it was Pixar, yeah. Felt like Brave in that it had more of a Disney hallmark than Pixar.

Re: spoiler...
I loved that moment and how it was directed. He realised that it was more important for his brother, who had partial memory of his father, and who had lived through the grief of losing him, to have the moment. Ian had a made-up image of who his dad was, and yes he maybe “deserved” a meeting too, but it’s not like he knew the dad at all. The big quest he didn’t want to go on in the first place - but was compelled to in order to restore their dad - was actually a lesson in bravery and sacrifice for those who matter to him in the here and now (his brother!). I thought it was a really nice moment.

No, this time they are actually putting it out without a premium for everyone that has Disney+.

I am so excited to hear this. I've been holding off on seeing Mulan until it became available as part of the subscription too.
