Disney have had such a box office bounce back year after a couple struggle-bus years with Inside Out 2, Deadpool and Wolverine and probably Moana 2 all hitting a billion dollars. But they really are going to see out the year with that Lion King prequel nobody wanted that looks awful and will probably tank.

At least the songs should be good. Lin-Manuel can be insufferable but he can write a great song and shame he’s not back for Moana 2.

Oh for sure, but he chose the wrong project to come back to. Or Disney chose the wrong project to pump the extra money into.

Moana may have made way less money than the Lion King, but most people actually genuinely loved or at least liked Moana. I dont really know anyone who particularly liked The Lion King remake, which is why Moana 2 and Mufasa will both probably end up with the box office of each’s other’s opposite movie that came before (if that makes sense).

We have our first clip from Moana 2 and the animators fixed her face! That first preview we got, whew, you could tell the shows animators had a small budget. Funnily enough, the clip also has Nicole Shapirozinger in it.

Well they fixed the CGI from the first still we saw. This Stitch looks a little more lifelike.

Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian (who wrote and directed the short below) took over for Adrian Molina, who went on to work on another film.

Not too excited for it but will say that seeing Stitch 'come to life' is 100 times more exciting and 'well maybe it's not entirely redundant' compared to whatever they did with all the Lion King characters (or the animals in The Little Mermaid)

It looks a little better than the Lion King stuff but the original movies are right there and none of the live-action/3D films can hold a candle to them!
