Disney

I don't see why Disney is STILL shilling out these live action remakes. Even to the point where now we're getting a damn Mufasa movie that no one asked for.
Between that and the films that have gotten sequels (Frozen, Moana), it's like Disney is really afraid to branch out into new territory that has any sort of charm.

"I dont remember you being this opinionated! Almost as if you've become....A GIRLBOSS!"

It's not that they want a stronger Snow White. It's that Disney is incapable of subtlety.

This movie did not need to happen. We got Mirror, Mirror. We got Snow White and Charlize Theron. We did not need what appears to be an animated film with 3 live action characters.

With the timeline that we're in, I think that all these middling CGI sludge Disney movies will inexplicably make a billion each from now until the end of time (adjusted for inflation).
Wasn't even Little Mermaid a hit despite the gross hate campaign from the worst corners of the internet? I'm convinced every Disney live action will be a hit forever as you said.

I think COVID along with the underperformance of some of its new, non-franchised films has made them scared to really push forward. It's weird.

They realized parents now treat the movies as daycare center and children will watch anything ddd.

I literally just saw a tiktok last week that showed a movie theater that has a "junior" theater room that, yes, plays a movie, but also has like an intermission and play areas. Like it looks like a playground inside a movie theater. I get no one is forcing parents to take their kids there... But it makes me wonder, is this what we've come to?

Here Disney movies can still play in theaters like 5 months after release and they have $1-$2 matinée ticket days for children's movies so parents can take their kids out for cheap. This is how most theaters keep their lights on during the daytime. I do think Disney has given up on even trying to make their animated stuff appeal to parents as well as their kids.

Having not seen Moana, I saw Moana 2 with my nephews the other day. I was expecting something more cultural and spiritual, not science fiction with non-sentient villains. It weirdly felt like super sentai before it’s been adapted for power rangers.

I officially canceled my Disney+ account. What with the price increase and the company's insistence on being creatively bankrupt, I'll just pirate what I need I guess.

I think there is a big pharma or cosmetic company somewhere in Europe called Moana.

It‘s also called Vaiana in Germany.
