Diva Fever appreciation.

Only one of them can sing?

The other one just flings his microphone around, it's hilarious.

The other one is actually the better singer he just can't get a look in with that horrendous show off hogging all of the limelight.

It was very over the top, their outfits were awful.

What was going on with the arrangement it looked like the one that sang everything stole the other ones lines or something... he didn't even attempt at singing, half the time he had his mic about a mile away from his mouth....

There's a lot of gays in this thread, but there's also, what, 15 million people out there watching X Factor and only a small percentage of them are gay. Diva Fever are just reinforcing many people's stereotypes of what gay men are like - feminine, giggly, girly, camp. Yes of course there are gay men out there like that, but they're not on telly in front of 15 million people reinforcing that image.

For all of us here who know the diversity of gay people, there are a lot more watching X Factor thinking "See, I knew that's what all poofs are like." Because you don't see average-man-in-the-street gays on telly. And milions of viewers won't have a nice diverse selection of gay people in their everyday lives to balance it out.

Diva Fever might be camp, that's who they are, but they can't have much self respect to let themselves be taken the piss out of as Friedman/Cowell and whoever have done.

As much as I like them, they need to go ASAP, because if me and my gay friend get told we look like them once more, I'm going to have a breakdown.

Apparently the "one who wasn't singing" had a throat infection last week, hence the other guy essentially performing solo. Apparently that's why they're fighting this week.

If they survive to next week, what Boney M song will they sing?

They've gotta stay till at least the finals so they can do "Mary's Boy Child" as a Christmas performance.

People are who the are. They may be cringy to some of us but they're under no responsibility to represent gays as a whole or beat any stereotypes. Joe wasn't like that, neither was Will Young or Danyl Johnson and people who are under the impression that all gays are raving Boney M fans were probably under that impression before Diva Fever.

They look like they're coming in from a night at Flares. The continous shot of the backing singers made me feel nauseated. I could hardly hear them singing live at all.

It would be wonderfully subversive if they won but I guess that would involve viewers not believing Simon Cowell when he says they are good...

I really like them....but i'm one of those secure gays. I'm not the kind of person to start a protest everytime a gay comes on TV that doesn't represent me. We come in all different shapes and sizes. There's loads of bad representations of women on TV aswell ya know...it ain't just gays. Kim Kardashian was born rich and never had to work then opened her legs and got even more rich...Cheryl can't sing and has a record deal etc...I could go on.

I couldn't care less about their sexuality, they are just plain crap. You could barely hear them sing a note last night and I don't even get what's funny about them.

I watched the performances via youtube last night and so many of them are note-perfect-but-boring (TreyC, John) or take themselves very seriously (Storm). Diva Fever are having a laugh and put a smile on my face.

At least they went out with dignity and getting in a proper dig at Simon.

The song choice was heinous and watching them you would have thought they were completely into it when obviously they hated it as much as the general public did.

Simon didn't give a fuck about them, he's making it clear who his priority is. They were still generally shit though.

Everyone thinks Aiden is downbeat over his performance but in reality he's just embarrassed now that The Shit One in Diva Fever has his haircut.
