Why can’t I escape the feeling of the mysteries of Rubys mum and Mrs Flood aren’t gonna be answered this season?

Always here for a Trickster reference though!

I think we’ll get answers on Ruby’s mum in next week- but the arc will go into Season 2. I expect Mrs Flood to be solved next season. RTD did say it was a slow burner that one.

Love the mention of the Trickster and the Mara and how Russell has retconned them into being part of the same pantheon of Gods. I was half expected the Beast from the Satan Pit to return!

I do wonder how anyone who hasn’t seen Pyramids of Mars/Classic Who would feel about Sutekh.

Ff never heard of him in my life I genuinely assumed it was another case of CG after space babies.

I watch while doing other things for the most part... the episode gripped me properly later on.

Great episode, truly the first episode that actually had me a bit freaked out a bit for a long time!

Why did they get rid of Shirley though at Unit? I thought she was a great character and had a lot of room for development in the future.

She’s in the next season, I think it was just scheduling issues.

She is supposedly back next year, I think Ruth Madeley was just unavailable for filming for this one. And they had initially brought on Lenny Rush to voice one of the space babies but liked him so much they decided to have him on as Morris instead.

The Beast was another form of Sutekh trying to escape his prison.

Oh my god that did not disappoint. Genuinely scary towards the end in a way I don’t think we’ve seen since The Impossible Planet, which is fitting. Loved the way they addressed the anagram straight away and it was a great way to pull the wool over our eyes! I’m very satisfied
