Well shit. I don't really care for it despite giving it a good score. It works as a part of Lungs but on its own I don't use it.

Guess I better start writing commentary before we get to my faves!

I was not expecting that at all, but at the same time I'm not shocked either. It's such a far cry from even stuff on the first album, Florence doesn't even use it any more, and generally it just feels forgettable and forgotten.

I'm kind of worried for Lungs seeing as it's already taking a hit...

OH FUCK! I love that song, that was a bit of a shock... whilst not the most perfect song on lungs, it's one of the most addictive and I can see why its a bit of a marmite

When you said that an 11 is going out, I knew it had to be Kiss With A Fist, cause I can't imagine someone actually wasting their 11 on the likes of Over The Love and Heavy In Your Arms, however they might sound.

It's not a huge loss. I remember when I first listened to the album, I was playing Crash Bandicoot and the song came on and ended so quickly. It was an interesting change of pace, but that was about it. At the end of the day, it doesn't feel weird nor wrong that it's out this early.

Echoing everyone else: this could've lasted longer, no major loss that it didn't. A quick burst of Flo-stalgia but not punching out (metaphor!) the big boys.

Also had no idea Heavy in Your Arms had so many heathens of hate detractors

Wait what?! Kiss With A Fist outside of the top 50?!?! I could take my 11 outside of the top 50 as I would expect that, but this has blindsided me.

I was sort of expecting Kiss With A Fist to bow out early, but it still hurts. The first time I saw her live, Florence went a bit mad and started climbing the scaffolding at the side of the stage, thrashing around and screaming her wee heart out during the song. I'll never forget it.

I do like Kiss With A Fist every now and then but its not really a song I'd ever seek out to listen to.
I Come Apart as a sort of re-discovery, I think I listened to it once when it came out, I only gave it a 4 but its grown on me considerably in the last couple of days. It's still not outstanding in the grand context of Florence tracks but its a great little extra.
Breath Of Life - I approach soundtrack songs from any artist as somewhat separate from their 'true' work. So I find I can enjoy them as extras when they pop up, especially when an artist's main output is perhaps a bit quiet. I certainly see Breath of Life as track that could only exist attached to a film.

I do like me some 'Hospital Beds' and 'Breath of Life', so that sucks, but otherwise it still make sense.
'Kiss with a Fist' is a bit of a surprise I guess. You would think people would hold it a bit closely to their heart considering quite a few of her fans discovered her through that.... But, again, it makes sense that it has such a low average.​
