The new Donkeyboy single featuring Canadian singer Kiesza wil be released tomorrow, 23rd August. No info yet on whether an album will folow.

I've tried to look her up but apparently all of her songs have been deleted (if she had any out in the first place). Here's her Facebook but it has barely any info: http://www.facebook.com/KieszaMusic

Edit: oh that is not good. It's unlisted so no wonder I couln't find it. Her voice might work well on the new song though.

The new song has been produced by Simon & Espen, who also produced 7/12 tracks on Silver Moon.

Such an elegant song, I've been missing their polished sound and this is a great step forward.

I really love this group and Triggerfinger is a tune. I hope their 3rd album is on its way soon.

Sounds like a cross between Per Gessle/Roxette and Architecture in Helsinki. Not bad but also hasn't grabbed me yet.

A good tune for sure. I'm not feeling the return of guitar vibes in this though. The Silver Moon album (and Triggerfinger) are so electro-pop and that's why I love with them.

Alphabeat did the same thing! After a brilliant lush, electro-synth sophomore album, they reverted back to they're old 'guitar' ways. Don't get me wrong I love that too, but it's not what I expect from them. So I'm slightly disappointed with this one.

It's my first critique on here. Hopefully I don't upset the guitar/rock/pop gods...!

Annoying that the new single hasn't been released outside Norway yet.

Also in reply to the previous poster Non-Stop Express was not guitar pop at all - although to be honest I haven't played it for ages. So I guess I could be wrong.

Trigger Finger held promise but ultimately left me cold. I loved the video but the track just wouldn't click like almost of everything else they've done. Crazy Something Normal however is just fucking awesome and reminds me why I love this band so much. I still remember when I discovered them and absolutely fell in love with their debut. They're so talented and amazing and yet also underrated and overlooked. As for Silver Moon, City Boy is one of the best tracks I've ever heard. The rest of the album was good but sometimes a tad overwhelming with those electro-fused pop choruses.

Still though I'm extremely excited for their third album. I hope it's a stunner.

Read the first few posts of this thread thinking 'Triggerfinger' was a new song, so was a little surprised to realise it's been out since last year. Kiesza remains flawless.

Crazy Something Normal remains on constant repeat and it's been two days now. Adore it. I seriously cannot wait for their third album. If Crazy Something Normal is any indication I'm going to fucking love it.

Anyone have any news on the album that's coming?

Single still not released in the UK. Very frustrating.

So Donkeyboy have released a third single from their new album called "Hero". It was featured on the PopJustice front page but seems to have slipped the radar of this thread. You can read about it and stream it here:

Reactions? I think it's solid and pretty good. Not as immediate as Crazy Something Normal but still quite great.
