Guards! What is Gracie Abrams doing outside her cell?
Bey had a really strong first week and scored a number 1 single so that paints the era a bit better than Dua who never really had a single week of major success. That said, both of these albums have ridiculously low streams for the non-singles.View attachment 60640
It’s funny the way we’re kinda led to believe that RO was a complete flop and CC was this huge success.
I think the difference is doing really well in one country (and that country is the biggest music market in the world) vs doing poorly to moderate in several tiny countries. It’s funny the way we’re kinda led to believe that RO was a complete flop and CC was this huge success.
nooo
Abandoning the album accusations and lumping Dua in with Beyoncé in terms of promo is a little harsh to her (/making a bit of an excuse for the album performance) no? She did Glastonbury, gave us 3 music videos recently did a Tiny Desk set and has a Royal Albert live version of the album coming out soonLol both Radical optimism and CCarter are doing terribly at the moment. Both at the bottom of the UK top 200 and not even doing 1000 a week from streams, thats terrible but thats what happens when you abandon album on release day. Billie or Brat are still doing more than 6K a week and top 10.
Yeah but that doesn't mean much, after all Katy Perry, supposedly the biggest flop in the world, still regularly out-streams Bey on Spotify, ARTPOP out-streams Lemonade, "Poker Face" out-streams the whole of Renaissance, her last IFPI entry with a global hit was "Telephone" in 2010 etc. But Beyoncé has won this narrative war that "she's in her imperial era!!!" for the past decade despite whatever bombs commercially, so it's really quite an achievement.View attachment 60640

@Thu Ra Aung Kyaw how did you enjoy it?I'm seeing her for the first time ever at the BKK show tomorrow. Super excited!!!
I had a really great time! Which zone were you in? I didn’t have the early access so I had to queue for like 6 hours and how they were handling STA zone was so bad that me and a group of friends kept getting cut off. I have only been to two concerts and they were Kpop concerts which were super organised with queue numbers and such so this was all very new to me. I secured barricade in the end though. I’ll post some vids here.@Thu Ra Aung Kyaw how did you enjoy it?

I was in the front standing zone, we stood on the right of the stage. Honestly compared to Malaysia the crowd was a lot more fun (maybe cos they sold alcohol dd). We stayed relatively far back though. Glad you got front row <3I had a really great time! Which zone were you in?
