Stuck was the lead single from Stacie's self-titled second album. It was released in 2003 and charted at #52 in the US. Although it performed much better internationally going Top 10 in several other countries.

Similarly to P!nk's Just Like A Pill the song was produced by Dallas Austin. And to be honest I don't think it sonically really fits this rate, but did I include it just to get more potential voters when I saw the big reaction it got when suggested? maybeso.gif

Also fun fact: The guy who plays her love interest in the video for this and I Could Be The One is actually her cousin. A little weird but work.

@berserkboi (8) - The shade of our host telling me Amiel doesn’t fit here but Stuck does! Dddd - I STAN the scammery!

@livefrommelbs (10) - I wouldn't classify this as pop-rock in the slightest, but I fucking love it as an exemplary piece of mid-00s pop proper. Hooks upon hooks, delivered by a genuinely amazing singer.

@DJHazey (8.5) - Kinda lulls me into a “why do I think this song is great again?” until “every now and then…” and especially the “I hate you but I love you...” parts which carry it over the line for me.

@Memoria (9.5) - This has aged really well. Understandably (There's Gotta Be) More to Life must've overshadowed this song for me at the time but listening now, it's almost just as good.

@unnameable (10) - Ah Dallas Austin, master producer who worked wonders with TLC and the Sugababes. This song is a fine little bop.

@Sprockrooster (9) - One would expect some grey hairs in my wig with the time that has passed since this release, but damn… not a single string. Still lookin’ fresh.

My Happy Ending
I’m With You
All You Wanted
Behind These Hazel Eyes
Since U Been Gone

Perfect Top 5 x

I have a nagging suspicion Come Clean is gonna do really well, though. I actually love it but I feel there are better songs left that fit the theme better. Complicated and Breakaway can leave next.

A welp, but also a kii.
I just want you to know if I could stick my tongue out at you, I would.
Just Like A Pill not in the top 10 - hell the top 5 - is honestly bullshit. It's a perfect pop-rock song! The darkness, the drama, the production, the melodies...everything about it works so wonderfully. I really don't understand y'all. Basically:
That's bullshit, tbh.
Also, I love the perfromance from the Funhouse tour, though I can only find the audio on YouTube:

Stuck was a great discovery! And I don't entirely agree with the "not pop-rock" comments, I feel like it's a solid mix of pop in the verses and pop-rock in the chorus, so it didn't really stick out that much to me. Okay with it missing the top 10, especially if a classic like Just Like A Pill isn't gonna be there either

Britney, always the trailblazer!
What do people think will be the last song to miss out on the Top 10?
It better not be Come Clean. That's the only song I'm really worried about at this point, as I think my other faves are safe for the top 10. I would be okay with Breakway at this point, even if I love it.

Actually, I agree the chorus is quite rocky which is why I thought it was passable to include.

Really dd? Which video?
