EastEnders

Tonight’s was indeed a tough watch but it was beautifully done.

Danielle Harold has been amazing, it’s a shame they never really gave her much else to do.

Emma Barton as Honey has also been incredible, Honeys character development lately has been great. Perhaps turning into the next great Mitchell matriarch? Her standing up to Phil & Nish and blackmailing Suki, incredible.

Honey has been so amazing in all of this (and in general) - she does both ballsy and vulnerable equally well. Hope they give her a lot more to do.

Ian is perhaps the only character who's absence I have not only not missed, but been glad of. Keep him away from the show when it's so good at the moment (with the exception of Ben). Or at the very least, make him the dead one at Christmas so he is finally done forever.
I definitely haven't missed Ian. Before his exit it felt like he was always at the centre of everything and it became very frustrating to watch. I really liked Cindy first time round (mainly because she wanted Ian dead), but her return worries me. They've been on a role recently, but they really need to get this right. Despite just getting rid of an actor, I hope they plan on having Peter return (and actually do something with him) and it would be great if they could get Mimi Keene to return - especially as she never should have been written out in the first place.

I'm excited for Lisa's return. She's a character I've always loved, but the show loved to do her dirty.

As for Lola's final episode, what a beautiful 30 minutes that was. Every element was so strong and I really hope it gets some award recognition because it really deserves it.

He/They
Ians final year with the Denny stuff was fantastic, and Sharon's poison Xmas Pudding was one of the shows campest ever moments.

The BBC have confirmed an extended episode (34 mins) will air on June 22nd to reveal Rose Knight.

Excited for this, but also wondering if they've announced it to get the jump on any leaks. I hope we're not going to go through a stage where lots gets revealed beforehand. I get why the Cindy one got out there, but the Roxy reveal would have been amazing had it been kept secret until it aired. Not that the scene wasn't still amazing.
