EastEnders

Reiss reminds me so much of my uncle who once made a phony bomb threat to a Somerfield and I'm pretty sure has been defrauding my gran. Pathological liar yet terrible at lying. Right down to the stammering "oh oh oh" when caught out in an obvious lie. It's really taking me out of it.

Also not hating Priya and Ian? Strong comedy duo potential. EDIT: Oh that's a shame.

If there's one person who can help find Reiss (aside from Detective Lauren Branning) it's Brenda. Those eyes won't miss a thing!

That made no sense whatsoever. After being incarcerated by Reiss for - what is it - three months? Bianca escapes unseen. She was in chains and the lock-up was, well, locked up wasn’t it? We don’t see her escape, how on earth did she do it?

Still, I thought they’d have Sonia believing Bianca was dead for a few episodes so it was a bit of a relief when she appeared. I don’t like the resolution but I’m glad it’s nearly over.

In yesterday's episode Reiss forgot to lock the door and left a jacket with the keys in when he dashed off to Sonia in the hospital. It's why he was in such a panic to get back there. I'd have maybe liked one more scene showing more clearly that they were in dragging distance. Or even have a Lauren assist where she had followed him to the lock-up in suspicion but. Well. Telley innit.

Not sure we need a Gary & Minty return…?
Interesting. The actor that played Minty was on The One Show a few weeks ago and was very much “moved on and not going backwards” but guessing that appearance alerted the EastEnders bosses and they tempted him with a cameo.

Or maybe it was just standard actor response if they think they’re never going to be asked back.

I’d like to see Tony and Simon back. I heard an interview Mark Homer and Andrew Lynford did for a podcast (together, as they had remained friends) a while back and they suggested they’d be interested if they got the call. I enjoyed re-watching their story when U&Drama was showing mid to late 90s episodes.

He/They
Cliff Parisi has been a series regular on Call The Midwife for 14 years, so he's still on the Beeb's books
It was a nice surprise to see them.

I wonder if the live will be a few people in one room a harken back to the 30th...
