EastEnders

I'm looking forward to it all kicking off later in the week, of course. But I absolutely loved tonight's episode. I thought the wedding was sweet (I love to see Honey happy). But also the scene with Linda and Phil was just so beautifully done. When she was too overwhelmed to say thank you when Phil told her how proud he was of her was just beautifully played - and also heartbreaking knowing what Phil was planning to do.

And then the scene with Bianca and Grant really makes you appreciate that the show has actor who are willing to come back for anniversaries like this.

I honestly have no idea who Cindy was confronting. I definitely think Peter has been acting suspect for a while now, but not sure if Cindy would point a gun at him. I wonder if Ian has found the locket and it's just going to be a red herring.

He / Him / His
Cindy running around looking for a gun because she thinks Ian is gonna kill her is camp but feels so low stakes. Neeeeeeed a surprise Cindy Jr return.

I genuinely wonder if they foresaw this entire storyline ending up playing for laughs rather than having any sense of drama or stakes.

Especially this week, in contrast to the much darker Phil storyline and what’s to come with Reiss, it’s ended up becoming the comic relief for me - Cindy making her seventeenth public accusation in two months, skulking around the square in her fur coat and now wielding a gun as she enters the house should not be anywhere near as hilarious as it’s turned out. Let me choose to believe Michelle saw how shite the scripts were and decided to camp things up as much as possible - she did this for us!

Can't wait for our comedy queen to slip on a banana skin and accidentally shoot someone.

I didn't realise we'll find out who attacked her tonight, and it feels like it'll be relatively secondary Weds/Thurs once
the Vic blows up
- Cindy apparently won't even be in the live. The one thing that could salvage it as a serious storyline would be if it genuinely is Cindy jr whodunnit.

The problem with the Cindy Jr theory is that I don't see the actress coming back and you can't do a big reveal with the recast.

More likely to be Bobby.

So… was it really Kathy? Or is she just trying to cover for Ian?

Ian said it was Peter, was he clutching at straws or did he genuinely think it was Peter?

Either way, bit underwhelmed.
