Emilia - .mp3 (Deluxe) + La_Playlist.mpeg

And when did this dumb woman release this trash? On the Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice aka the day the last military dictatorship started in Argentina in 1976. That day is a national holiday to remember the 30k people who lost their lives during that time. A number that their current government tries to deny and erase. Her timing used to be a joke as oh she can't have this bad luck but I'm starting to think that this is very much on purpose.

It's me again!

Funny how on this last page I went from fan to hater to fan again and now I just unfollowed her on Instagram. In the last video she uploaded on her YouTube channel she called Argentinians broke losers ("muertos de hambre") because there was a rumour that she's leaving Argentina and moving to Miami. Make it make sense. Oh and the context to all of this? Right now, there are protests all over Argentina because thanks to President Milei, pensions for the elderly have dropped to $300, while the basic food basket costs at least $1.300. So imagine calling people broke losers when they are 80-year-olds on the streets literally fighting to survive. Just because they complained that you're moving to Miami. She's completely empty-headed and clearly an idiot. I used to think that maybe she was one of those people that don't know about politics but this is something that you can't ignore.

I'm not the kind of person who expects every pop artist to make a political statement whenever something happens, but announcing your releases in the middle of political crises just for engagement, calling the people from your country poor when you know people are literally starving... it's too much. I find it pathetic to keep supporting her.
THIS MAKES ME SO MAD ughhh. She's phenomenal at this popstarring stuff, and every time I've seen her speak/perform she's got this sparkly-eyed vitality that almost makes me forget that the world is falling apart and I LOVE that.

So to see that she's being a real asshole online and actively serving poor-shaming/disregard for people makes me sad... and question my own judgment of character yet again. I just cannot fathom being as successful as she's been and not using that success to try and help people. At the very least, not shitting on them while they're suffering in poverty.

I love her music and the way she performs, but I just think her and Tini enbody Argentinian privilege at its finest. Like they’re too afraid to take a stand and alienate part of the fandom, but they forget that Lali is a great example at how you can be successful and still have an opinion. Sure, Lali is not garnering the same amount of streams Emilia is, but she’s doing fine. Also Emilia is still technically a new artist, so there’s novelty in her favor, but I’m starting to get tired of the same rehashed Y2K aesthetics. Like, this era has been going for two years now, mama. Time to switch it up.

She can still get the good Miami producers and give us bops while at least posting a story hey our president shouldn't say that all gay people are pedophiles
