Enya

If we don't, I would love a dive into the archives and release some of the stuff that didn't make The Celts etc.

I wonder how much financial sense does a new Enya record make in 2023, when many veteran acts basically release albums on a loss and make ends meet from performing the hits live. Enya, however, depends entirely on record sales. Even if the label gets creative with the physical formats and playlisting, realistically a new album would only do a small portion from the previous ones.

The cost of making an Enya album should be quite limited compared to some contemporaries because the songs are 99% done by her and the Ryans.

Last year they said they were completely redoing the studio in order to record new music but I would be surprised if we got a (final) album. It's been 8 years since the last one.

I'm also terrified at the potential art direction because everything that they put on streaming or vinyl in the last few years looks horrible, new Box of Dreams release included.

So according to her Facebook post, it's the 35th anniversary of Watermark today and there is a listening party.

Shame an anniversary edition wasn't released.

Well, a listening party for the 35th anniversary of a multi million album seems so right !
Oh dear

The ones for Shepherd Moons and A Day Without Rain were truly embarrassing.

I don't understand how Warner is not able to force her to release anniversary editions, but I've started to think that maybe she doesn't have a label anymore. It would explain the terrible digital artworks.
