Very fair, I don’t disagree. I should have been more precise… I was thinking more about the “hundreds of people from the delegations fly into one country for a month” part of it. Maybe viewers value all of the acts physically performing on the same stage more than I realize. I guess my point is they *could* conceivably throw to a live show in each country during the broadcast. Should they, is another story.I think this is a little reductive; for most smaller countries this is the only opportunity for artists to get the opportunity to present their artists globally. Even though social media and the internet exist, the content on Google, Facebook and Instagram is overwhelmingly generated in Anglophone countries. Just because the platforms exist doesn't mean they are just or equitable, whereas Eurovision is a captivate audience, even if it's for a week per year.
