Eurovision Song Contest 2020 / Europe Shine a Light

If it's in Amsterdam, I can't see it being anywhere other than the arena next to the Ajax football ground.

Trains from Amsterdam to say Utrecht run through the night so it shouldn't be a problem.

Exactly - and I am sure the Dutch railway company will provide extra trains to other cities as well on the ESC nights - and otherwise party till the first train starts in some scary leather bar!

Current stance is Rotterdam or Maastricht (latter because of it's very europositive vibe and foundation city of the European Union). The national parliament has outspoken against Amsterdam cause they have been trying for years now to put a halt to the excessive tourism there and want to focus on other parts of the country. Hosting eurovision there will be counterproductive for that policy. Amsterdam does however has the most experience with these events and the mayor is very interested so it has not been ruled out.

That is already ruled out because they have issues with the side placements (dressing rooms). Amsterdam is opting for the RAI.

Only about 7 months to go until Festivali i Këngës

Ugh too bad it's next year and I'll still be saving money for my masters. I probably would be able to go in 2021. I loved Amsterdam when I went there and it's not far from the city my cousin lives in Belgium, so anywhere close to it would have been great. Sad.
