Are all the cities really close to one another? Maastrict seems too small to host an influx of tourists.

EDIT: Never been to The Netherlands so have no idea?

Maastricht is in the deep south and is reachable by train in approximately 2 hours. Not sure if it has the capacity to host it.

Rotterdam is my best bet. Great facilities (Ahoy), an expansive metropolitan area, easily accessible (multiple airports and railway stations) and a municipality that's hungry to attract more tourists (unlike Amsterdam).

I doubt it will be anything but Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Other cities might have venues, but no subway and not enough hotel facilities. I wouldn't mind splitting it, f.i. de semi's and final in Amsterdam, and red carpet in Utrecht, Den Haag or Rotterdam

Maastricht has the hotel capacity for it, André Rieu concerts draw thousands and thousands of visitors every single year. Eurovision dwarfs in comparison to the yearly total visitors of his concert on the famous Vrijthof square. Furthermore the proposed venue, MECC Maastricht, hosts large events throughout the year. Amsterdam might be two hours, but if people are flying in there is the nearby Maastricht Aachen Airport, and the airports from Brussels, Cologne and Dusseldorf are all within one hour distance.

Eurovision in Concert weekend is already a pocket burner so I cannot begin to imagine how much an entire week in Amsterdam would cost!
Saying that, I can already see the Melkweg being marked out as venue for Euroclub and that place in the middle of the Vondelpark acting as the Eurofan cafe.

Jessie J is someone that would almost certainly do well at Eurovision (as long as her song is halfway decent). She was pretty huge all over Europe and still tours regularly/people still remember her songs, plus she can belt, which is always a plus for the jury.

I hope AVRO/Tros doesn't turn it into some god-awful outdated horror scenario featuring people like Jan Smit. So for the interval act(s) they better stick to Dutch dance as it is renowned internationally and, if they want to show what's actually popular locally, like Dutch hiphop, "Nederhop".

I'm hearing that the Maltese national selection will be making a comeback next year. Nothing is set in stone yet but there have been rumors circulating the island that the winner of XF Season 2 will automatically get a ticket to the final show.
