Eurovision Song Contest 2025 - Basel

But this time it's true nn
Each year I do a side by side comparison (I know, nerd) of each country's entry with itself last year, and this year I actually have a net 5 songs better than last year's so whilst I think the Top 5 best songs are of a much lower quality than recent years, I think the overall average of quality is up on last year (people often remember the best stuff and forget just how much trash is there / cut out at the Semis).

Yeah there’s a decent amount of good songs (I would argue 10-12) that as long as the semis go to plan will make for a good year.

I just don’t think there’s the 2/3 great or instant viral songs this year.

Also the real tea is if you don’t like the quality or songs then don’t watch.

he/him/his
Cyprus is super basic but in a year where Norway is already fighting for my top spot, why not this too?

I worry about his voice, it's already super thin in studio but at least I know he is a great dancer and performer so we'll see. I can see this doing better with audience while Belgium does better with juries.

Edit: I just realised both songs are in the same semi and even in the same half, RIP to one of them.

EBU made an announcement last summer which hinted at them looking for delegations to tone down the sexuality of the performances. But there's a pretty obvious and gross streak of double standards in how it's being applied and to who.
