Fifth Harmony - 7/27

Rolling Stone gave this 3.5 stars. How? It's not that good.

Edit: Same rating as Beyonce...

They really did a 180 from 2013 didn't they? They were very pop and now they're being positioned as the next RnB girls with the exception of Sledgehammer! I like the 2 singles and Worth It, I haven't listened to the whole thing yet but I shall report back.

P.S. they're really pushing Camila as the Cheryl aren't they?

My lord, 'Reflection' sounds like a rough demo after hearing the MTV Live Version from a couple of weeks ago. That one needs serious beefing up.

I'm losing the will to live listening to this album.

It sounds incredibly dated. This is like an album I would have bought when I was in Florida in 2003.

Like Mariah is awful.

At first I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed, too, but then it has grown on me immensely during the past three days. I still admit that it isn't flawless, but I think it's now much stronger than what I'd thought first. Also, what I kind of miss a proper girlband ballad.

I find it so frustrating because I like them and the potential is there.

I absolutely love Sledgehammer and Don't Wanna Dance Alone from the EP and it's baffling why they've gone down this R&B/Pop route.

Maybe they'll get it right with album two, if they get one of course.

My sentiments exactly. However it still remains obvious that the album has been on hold for so long with the way they've ripped off songs from 18 months ago. If I'd never heard Fancy or Talk Dirty before, I'd have much less of a problem with it.

The title track is a fucking bop. Still highly disappointed but I'm glad a few songs are leaving a better impression on me than the first few listens.
