I think "Better" might end up being my highest score on Glory ddddd

Oh wait, "Just Luv Me". A tie then.

@RJF, what are your thoughts on calculating standard deviations for the pop girls rate? It'd be interesting to see the variation of average scores within each album. Or maybe include the median score in addition to the average?

Would the median score really be that interesting from a data perspective? I'm not sure what you mean in your first part. I already provide the overall average each album receives unless I'm missing your point.

It's a measure of variance calculated against a mean; i.e. how homogenised the scores are, so a high standard deviation indicates a track is divisive attracting both very high and very low scores.

It's pretty easy to work out, but whether it's of wider interest is another matter.

Show me the Numbers.

Show me the Numbers.

If y'all are curious, the 5 most divisive tracks here are, in order: Back To Black, Save The Hero, That's Why You're Beautiful, Speechless & Hello.

The 5 least divisive are: End of Time, All Night, XO, Countdown & Freedom.

Kinda plays into the surprise at End of Time making it just so far; the scores were almost universally positive, hence its top 5 finish.

And at least Speechless came close to winning something, huh.

I think the median could be helpful if there are a few users who are more likely to throw out 0s and 10s that skew the average. The median kinda controls for outliers.

The standard deviation would tell the range within an album. So it'd help identify albums that have relatively higher highs and lower lows.

Edit: Just a suggestion! It provides a little more explanation behind the placing, as Number has demonstrated.
